This movie kicks off with an incredible action battle scene that just throws you right into the story. Even if it is a little reminiscent of Lord of the Rings, it sets the stage for a thrilling tale. The story of King Arthur is of course a classic and has been done many times over, so the challenge is to really bring something new and fresh while paying tribute to its predecessors and respecting the original tale.

Guy Ritchie did an amazing job of bringing the story to life and making it current and exciting, thankfully without the use of clichés or excessive drama in the plot. While the acting was pretty good, what really stood out was Richie’s extreme attention to detail. Everything was done perfectly, from the costumes to the scenery to the shooting itself, especially Richie’s signature speeding up and slowing down scenes. Nothing felt overdone or exaggerated, the whole picture that Richie created came together just right. Guy Ritchie has proven that he has still got it, and I cannot wait to see what he comes out with next. (Nava Berg)
