Two young women, Lily (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Amanda (Olivia Cook), who competed for years in equestrian events, lost contact due to strange circumstances and finally reconnect due to some financial manipulation by Amanda’s mom. They were very close friends and, as they meet up again, realize that they have a lot in common: mostly they are both unhappy and isolated.  Lily’s family is extremely wealthy and her stepfather has already planned out her entire life for which Lily is not too keen. Amanda, on the other hand, is on trial for animal cruelty after killing her horse with a knife. Lily is very unhappy with her current state of life and wants to change it no matter what the cost is. Amanda, who reveals that she can’t feel emotions, but makes logical choices, gives Lily an idea how to take the reins in her hands so she can determine her life instead of others doing it for her.
