A tunnel is being built between Denmark and Germany bringing promise to economic growth, but what change during and after its construction. This German–Danish co-production which takes a good look at behind the scenes as we follow historian Dara's (Lisa Loven Kongsli) daily routine until she begins an affair with a young Polish construction worker (Jakub Gierzal). We then see through this cryptic poetry settings; a new meaning to homeland, foreigner and those travelling through the landscape.

Although the film was only 88 minutes long, it seems very slow paced but contains a poetic feeling. It is important to speak Danish or German since the film has many nuances create an unclear reality that is hard to decipher. (Shelly Schoeneshoefer)
