Icelandic director Hannes Þór Halldórsson takes a typical action-comedy film and flips this genre on its head. He introduces the audience to Reykjavík’s toughest cop Bússi (Auðunn Blöndal), who is completely out of control, breaking all the rules, but in the end gets the thugs. He is the best and everyone seems to love him except his partner and himself. He drinks heavily and can’t seem to come to terms with what’s standing in his way to happiness. A truly surprising coming out film where Bússi, a closeted homosexual man in denial of his true sexuality, takes a deep emotional jump by falling in love with his new partner Hörður (Egill Einarsson), who by the way is the toughest cop in the next district.

A hilarious film containing fast-action scenes mixed with an offbeat sense of humor proves to be a prefect night out in the cinemas. Just remember not to think too much about if the plot makes sense. It does have its flaws, but most everything in this film is done with a tongue-in-cheek style. (Shelly Schoeneshoefer)
